About Ten Directions Lane
The Lane-Square in Tai Po Market is located in Yun Tau Kok, New Territories, Hong Kong. It consists of Kwong Fuk Lane, Tai Wing Lane, Tai Kwong Lane and Tai Ming Lane. It is near the Tai Po Complex, with four lanes arranged in a tic-tac-shape, with a leisure garden in the middle.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the Tai Po North Old Market in the New Territories of Hong Kong had a busy flow of people, especially the bustling market. There were train stations, police stations, and various shops. As the more people gathered, the more food stalls opened. People from different places were attracted to this place, therefore it is named as "Ten Directions Lane".
「民以食為天」is a Chinese slang means "Food is the most important thing for people". The increasingly crowded Ten Directions Lane attracts a variety of food stalls, including Cantonese Siu Mei, Chaozhou cold dishes, Shanghai dim sum, Japanese set meals, Hainanese chicken, Taiwanese fried chicken, street foods, Hong Kong-style themed restaurants, etc., makes Ten Directions Lane become a famous place for dinner.
We left our hometown, and every time our stomach growled, the name Ten Directions Lane would come to mind, so we want to use our food to remind our guests of "Ten Directions Lane" when they are hungry.
Every time we go to Ten Directions Lane, we have to pass through the "Po Heung Bridge". The shape of the bridge is just like our logo.
We hope you enjoy our food! |
